Joan A. Cox, age 92, of Warsaw, passed away on Wednesday May 1, 2019 at 10:15 a.m. in Warsaw. She was born in Montpelier, Ohio on July 2, 1926 to Alfred and Theresa (Smith) Grant. She was united in marriage to Ellis N. Cox on March 2, 1946 in Montpelier, Ohio.

Joan was a resident in Warsaw for 64 years. She was employed at Kimm Paint Store in Warsaw for 25 years. She attended WCC Warsaw. She loved hanging out with her friends at the local McDonald’s. Her greatest passion in life was being a mother. She left behind nothing but beautiful memories for her children and those who knew her.

Joan is survived by; two sons Michael (spouse Mary Jo) Cox and David (spouse Cathy) Cox, two daughters Patty (spouse Doug) Moore and Cathy (spouse Robert) Barth all of Warsaw, eight grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, one brother Max Grant of Montpelier, Ohio and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband Ellis N. Cox, a grandson Ryan Cox, one brother Joe Grant, and a step-father, Melvin Worthington.

Visitation hours will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday May 8, 2019 in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw.

Funeral Services will also be on Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw with Pastor Steve Rahn officiating.

Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
