Alma Wadkins

Alma Wadkins, age 87 of Mentone, IN passed away on October 10, 2014 at Kosciusko Community Hospital. She was born on February 27, 1927 in Floyd County, KY to the late Dick and Ellen (Brown) Robinson.

On July 3, 1946 she was united in marriage to the late George Wadkins, Sr. World War II veteran, in Floyd County, KY.

She was a member of the Full Gospel Tabernacle of Claypool, since 1972.

Family and friends were very important to her. Having all of her family together was one of her greatest joys. She was very proud of her southern heritage and was something that she spoke of often. She taught her family strong values and the importance of God. One of her favorite past times was watching the birds outside her window. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her.

She has 5 children; Maggie Gang, Mentone, IN., Mary Alice (spouse Delmar) Estep, Claypool, IN., Billy Ray (spouse Donna) Wadkins, Silver Lake, IN., Jerry G. (spouse Regina) Wadkins, Kimmel, IN., and Judy (spouse Mark) Fenton, Warsaw, IN; a sister, Ida Mae Dotson, Mentone, IN; 23 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, 7 brothers, 3 sisters, 3 sons, George Jr, James E. and Charles M. Wadkins and 2 grandchildren.

Visitation will be on Tuesday October 14, 2014 from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw.

Funeral Services for Alma will be held on Wednesday October 15, 2014 at 12:00 p.m. at Mchatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. Pastors Paul Copeland and William Whitaker will be officiating the services.

Burial will take place following the services at Lakeview Cemetery in Silver Lake, IN.

Family has requested that memorial contributions be made out to the Full Gospel Tabernacle of Claypool, 205 N. Main Street, Claypool, IN. 46510
