Brenda K. Ward, age 61, of Noble County, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, April 3, 2019 at 6:12 AM in her residence. She was born on November, 20, 1957 in Rochester, Indiana to Arlo and Lois (Ummel) Knouff.

She lived most of her life in Missouri and Indiana. Brenda was a deeply spiritual and caring person, animal lover, traveler and dedicated to her family.  Brenda was an LPN and was a passionate caregiver throughout her entire lifetime. She enjoyed the outdoors, hiking, gardening, feeding the birds, and always took in any strays and rescue animals that came her way.  Brenda was passionate about service and charity and searching for ways to help others was a part of her daily life.  She was very creative and loved all forms of fiber arts.  She was an especially avid crocheter and held the world record for the largest granny square.  She also published poetry and short fiction.  She continued to learn, love, and experience life on a daily basis. She was an intelligent woman and a lifelong learner.  She was a long-time member of SCA; a historical reenactment society as well as a member of Mensa.

She is survived by her daughter; Elizabeth Renee Ward (Matthew) Allen of St. Louis, MO, brothers; Bruce (Tabitha) Knouff of Warsaw, Roger Knouff of Noble Co., Indiana, and a niece; Hailey Knouff of Columbia, MO. Brenda was preceded in death by her parents.

\Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 7, 2019 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. A Funeral Service will follow immediately after at 12:00 Noon on Sunday, April 7, 2019 in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. Chaplain Bob Jarboe will officiate the Funeral Service and interment will be private.

Memorial contributions may be made to the donor’s choice of charity.
