Reverend Robie Whitaker

Robie Whitaker, 91, of Warsaw passed away on January 13, 2019 at 5:46 PM in Kosciusko Community Hospital. He was born on September 11, 1927 in Floyd County, Kentucky to James and Catherine (Miller) Whitaker.

He has lived in Kosciusko County since 1940. He was united in marriage in 1948 to Nancy Conley who passed away in 1971, he was then united in marriage in 1972 to Elizabeth Perkins who passed away in 1999 and then was united in marriage in 1999 to Rebecca Howard who passed away in 2014.

During his life in Kosciusko County he was the co-owner of Whitaker Construction and worked for Zimmer Incorporated in maintenance. He was a long time area pastor serving the Lord in the Gravel Road Church in Claypool, co-founded Pentecostal Lighthouse Church in Warsaw and the Pentecostal Full Gospel Church of Silver Lake. He currently served as an Associate Pastor with the Gospel Hill Pentecostal Church of Silver Lake, as well as helping to construct various local churches.

He is survived by his children; Ron (and spouse Randi) Whitaker of Lake St. Louis, MO., Bonnie (and spouse Larry) Caudill of Viper, KY., brother; Delmer (and spouse Sylvia) Whitaker of Warsaw along with 3 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.

He was preceded by his wives, 3 brothers, 3 sisters, a granddaughter Danielle Minnix and a daughter Connie Conley.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, January 17, 2019 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel in Warsaw. A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 18, 2019 at 11:00 AM in Gospel Hill Pentecostal Church in Silver Lake with Pastors Justin Harshman and Frank Whitaker officiating. Burial will follow in Lakeview Cemetery in Silver Lake.
