Ronald C. Hoppas (Updated)

Ronald “Ron” Hoppas, age 77, of San Marcos, CA, passed away on Friday, May 4, 2018 at 10:25 AM in his home. He was born May 18, 1940, in Kosciusko, IN to Chester and Faye (Deafenbaugh) Hoppas. In 1964 He was united in marriage to Cynthia (Nichols) Hoppas on June 28,1964
. He graduated from Claypool High School in 1958. He served in the United States Marine Corp from 1958 to 1961. He loved riding his Harley Davidson as a pastime. He joined Dalton Foundry in 1961 and retired in 2005 after 44 years. A former resident of Warsaw, they moved to San Marcos in 2007. He belonged to Mission Hills Church in San Marcos, CA.
Ron is survived by his wife Cynthia Hoppas of San Marcos; a son Kenton Hoppas of Monterey, CA; a granddaughter, Scout Hoppas of Monterey; and a sister Elsie Hoppas of Warsaw, IN.
He was preceded by his parents and a son, Steven Hoppas.
A memorial Service will be held Saturday, July 28, 2018 at 10:00 AM with calling one-hour prior in the Claypool United Methodist Church, Claypool, IN. Interment will be in Graceland Cemetery, Claypool with Military Honors rendered by the United States Marine Corps, V.F.W. Post 1126 and American Legion Post #49. McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw is entrusted with arrangements.
