Alejandro "Alex" DeLaCruz, 58, of Warsaw, Indiana, passed away surrounded by family, died on 6/1/2010 at 9:50 pm at Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw, Indiana. He was born on October 6, 1951 in Warsaw, Indiana.

Alex was born to Pablo and Manuela (Aleman) DeLaCruz. He was a lifetime resident of the Warsaw area.
He married Betty Ann Shepherd on November 15, 1975 in Pierceton, Indiana. He worked for Zimmer Inc. for 35 years and was a member of the American Legion Post #258, Pierceton, Indiana. He was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Pierceton.
He is survived by his Wife; Betty DeLaCruz, Warsaw, Indiana
Son; Nathan Alejandro DeLaCruz, Warsaw, Indiana
Step-Son; Kenneth M. Shepherd, Elkhart, Indiana
Grandson; Trevor Nathaniel DeLaCruz, Claypool, Indiana
Mother; Manuela DeLaCruz, Pierceton, Indiana
3 Sisters; Eva (Jose) Guerrero, Columbia City, Indiana
Linda (John) Amezquita, Elkhart, Indiana
Elvia (Rod) Obregon, Pierceton, Indiana
2 Brothers; Henry (Roxanne) DeLaCruz, Larwill, Indiana
Pablo (Barb) DeLaCruz Jr., Warsaw, Indiana
Special Friend; Kristen Tucker, Warsaw, Indiana
Alex is preceded in death by his Father, Pablo DeLaCruz Sr. on March 17, 2009.

Services will be held at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Pierceton, Indiana on Saturday, June 5, 2010 at 10:00 am. Calling hours will be 2:00 – 8:00 pm on Friday, June 4, 2010 at the funeral chapel . Burial will be at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Cemetery, Pierceton, Indiana.

McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Pierceton, Indiana is in charge of arrangements. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, 601 West Edison Road, Mishawaka, Indiana 46545.
