B. Irene Dome, 96, of Winona Lake, Indiana, died on 2/19/2011 at 7:38 am at Mason Health Care and Rehabilitation Warsaw, India. She was born on May 23, 1914 in Monroe Township, Kosciusko County.

Irene spent most of her life in Winona Lake IN. Irene Passed away February 19, 2011 at the Mason Health Care after a short illness.
Her parents, Loyal W. Dome and Lena Frances (Palmer) Dome preceded her in death and she is survived by 5 brothers and sisters, Geneva Moore, Nappannee; George Harold Dome, Sidney IN; Doris Bickett, Sacramento CA; David Dome, Lynchburg MO; and Margaret Suzanne Townsend, Warsaw IN. and 15 nieces and nephews.

Irene worked as a volunteer for the Red Cross and previously was a member of Altrusa. She was a member of the Church of the Good Shepherd in Winona Lake for over 60 years. For many years she was employed by Dr. J. R. Baum and worked in his office. Love of birds was enhanced by membership in the National Audubon Society. For many years she was a volunteer with the Red Cross blood drives in the county. A few years ago she was crowned Warsaw Senior Queen. She also belonged to the Kosciusko County Historical Society and helped with guided tours of the Old Jail Museum. Irene also worked on the mobile meals program in the area.

Reverend Rob Harrison will conduct the services.

Services will be held at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel – Warsaw on Wednesday February 23, 2011 at 10:00 AM. Calling hours will be 4-8 PM on Tuesday February 22, 2011. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery – Warsaw, IN.
