Dale Eugene Graham, 87 of Warsaw, Indiana passed away Monday September 19, 2016 at 7:35 a.m. at Grace Village Health Care, Winona Lake, Indiana. He was born on January 13, 1929 to Ellis W. and Lela (Cox) Graham in Adel, Iowa.
He was a graduate of Bristol High School Bristol, Indiana class of 1946. Dale was a United States Marine serving during the Korean Conflict from September 30, 1946 to September 11, 1951, receiving the rank of Sergeant. He was united in marriage to Mary Bernice (Grove) on May 26, 1950. She preceded him in 2002. He retired from United Telephone Company after 38 years of service. Dale served on the Leesburg School Board. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion Post #49, Warsaw. He was an original member of the Rozella Ford golf course and a lifetime avid golfer.
Dale is survived by his children, M. Lane Brooks of New Palestine, Indiana, Gina (and spouse Max) Deatsman of Leesburg, Indiana and Lisa (and spouse Michael) Bonahoom of Warsaw, Indiana; Grandchildren, Dawn D. (and spouse Byron Baltzell, Brian (and spouse Janelle) Deatsman, Renee (and spouse Quentin) Overbeck, Heather Bonahoom and spouse Casey Brooks, and Katrina (and spouse Kenneth) White; 4 great grandsons and 4 great granddaughters. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Mary Bernice Graham, a brother Brenton Graham, and a sister Margaret Pelz.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday September 22, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, Indiana with Chaplain Bob Jarboe officiating.
Visitation will be also held on Thursday from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral chapel.
Burial will be in New Salem Cemetery, Milford, Indiana with Military Honors by the American Legion Post # 49, VFW Post 1126 and the Indiana Funeral Honor Guard.
