Obituary for Donald Jetter


Donald Jetter, 75, of Goshen, Indiana, died on 4/25/2009 at 7:00 pm at Greencroft Nursing Home, Goshen, Indiana. He was born on February 4, 1934 in Elkhart, Indiana.

Donald was born to Joseph H. and Mary M. (Hoadley) Jetter and was adopted by Pearl Frank Jetter and was the step-son of Ruth Harris Jetter. On March 14, 1959 he was united in marriage to Charlene J. Satterlee in Charlotte, Michigan. He was a Horn Mounter for the Vincent Bach Corporation which manufactures
brass musical instruments. Donald also did repair work for various musical instruments. He retired in 1994. He was an avid model airplane and experimental aircraft builder and pilot.
Donald is survived by his loving family, including his wife-Charlene Jetter of Goshen, Indiana; one son-Timothy (Tammy) Jetter of Osceola, Indiana; two daughters-Kathy (Jeff) Grider of Indianapolis, Indiana; Renee (Don) Mitchell of Elkhart, Indiana; nine grandchildren-Amanda Jetter of Cassapolis, Michigan; Charles Jetter stationed in Iraq with the U.S. Military Forces; Bernard Jetter of Cassapolis, Michigan; Jason Grider of Martionsville, Indiana; Chris Grider of Brooklyn, Indiana; Joey Mitchell of Muncie, Indiana; Meredith Mitchell of Tampa, Florida and Paige and Nicole Mitchell of Elkhart, Indiana.
In addition, Donald is survived by 8 great-grandchildren. He was preceded by is parents and one sister Ellen (Herb) Stephenson. A Time of Sharing will be from 1:00 to 2:00 PM with a Celebration of Life to follow at 2:00 PM at the Meeting House located on the Greencroft Campus in Goshen, Indiana

Services will be held at Greencroft Meeting House, Greencroft Retirement Community, Goshen, Indiana on Saturday, May 2, 2009 at 2:00 PM. Calling hours will be 1:00 to 2:00 PM on Saturday, May 2, 2009. Burial will be at Private Interment Services.
