George Rife, 80, of 2061 South County Road 275 East, Warsaw, Indiana, died on 10/14/2009 at 12:13 PM at his residence. He was born on March 29, 1929 in Warsaw, Indiana.

George was born to Chauncy and Edith M. (Hillery) Rife. he was a lifetime resident of Warsaw, Indiana.
He married Rose Ellen McClung on September 8, 1958 in Warsaw, Indiana. George worked as a welder and heavy crane operator for NIPSCO, retiring in 1989 after 29 years of service.
He was a member of Celebration United Methodist Church, Winona Lake; a former volunteer fireman of Winona Lake Fire Department; member of Allen County Sherriffs Posse, Appaloosa Horse Clubs and a Volunteer Advocate for CASA.
He also formerly owned R-Designs Silk Screening Company and raised Stallions and Mares.
George is survived by his Wife; Rose Ellen Rife, Warsaw,Indiana
Daughter; Rose Marie Bradley, Palestine Lake, Indiana
Son; Rex Allen Rife, Pierceton, Indiana
2 Sisters; Merl Hauth, Warsaw, Indiana
Louise Hayden, Jensen Beach, Florida
Brother; Leonard Dale “Dick” Rife, Tallahassee, Florida
9 Grandchildren and 11 Great Grandchildren.
he is preceded in death by a Son.

Services will be held at Graveside service at Oakwood Cemetery Chapel, Warsaw, Indiana on Friday, October 16, 2009 at 2:00 pm. Calling hours will be 12:00 – 2:00 pm at the funeral chapel on Friday, October 16, 2009. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw, Indiana.

McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, Indiana is in charge of arrangements. The family request that memorial contributions may be made to Celebration United Methodist Church, 1289 South 250 East, Winona Lake, Indiana 46590 or to Winona Lake Fire Department, 1000 Kings Highway, Winona lake, Indiana 46590.
