Joan Tinsley Slater Kerby Dutkus, 83, of 900 Provident Drive Warsaw, Indiana, died on 9/24/2009 at 7:00 PM at Mason Healthcare Center, Warsaw, Indiana. She was born on July 27, 1926 in Duncan, Oklahoma.
Joan was born to Worley Logan and Hazel Margaret (Williams) Tinsley. When Joan was 5 years old, her family moved back to Van Buren, Indiana. She graduated from Van Buren High School in 1944. She lived most of her life in South Whitley, Milford and Warsaw.
Joan married her 1st Husband, Oliver Farren Slater of Warren, Indiana. Her 2nd marriage was to Walter Lee Kerby of Montpelier, Indiana and her 3rd marriage was to Frank Joseph Dutkus. They have all preceded her in death.
Joan was employed mainly with restaurants and nursing homes. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, Warsaw, Indiana and the V.F.W. Auxiliary 5582.

Services will be held at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, Indiana on Monday, September 28, 2009 at 1:00 pm. Calling hours will be 11:00 am – 1:00 pm at the funeral chapel on Monday, September 28, 2009 . Burial will be at Hillcrest Cemetery, Pierceton, Indiana.
