Lucy Whiteneck, 96, of 314 West Winona Avenue Warsaw, Indiana, died on 4/28/2009 at 7:05 PM at Kosciusko Community Hospital Warsaw, Indiana. She was born on December 3, 1912 in Crawfordsville, Indiana.

Lucy was born to William and Nancy (Hall) Martz. She was a lifetime resident of Leesburg, Indiana and Warsaw, Indiana. Lucy graduated from Leesburg High School, Leesburg, Indiana in 1930. She was united in marriage to Jack Whiteneck on May 28, 1932 in Leesburg, Indiana. Jack preceded her in 1971. Lucy was a member of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church, Warsaw, Indiana, the Warsaw Arts and Crafts Club, the American Legion Auxillary Post #49 of Warsaw, Indiana, a 50 year member Red Cross Blood Bank Volunteers, a volunteer Gray Lady for Murphy Medical Center of Warsaw, Indiana, Rozella Ford Bridge Club and a member of the Rozella Ford Golf Course Nine Hole Association for 40 years, Warsaw, Indiana.
Lucy is survived by her loving family, including her son: Bruce Alan (and wife Ruth) Whiteneck of Warsaw, Indiana; one grandson: Brian Alan (and wife Karman) Whiteneck of Warsaw, Indiana; one granddaughter: Tara Alana (and husband Michael) Schaeffer of Warsaw, Indiana; six great-grandchildren: Davin, Karlie, Braiden, Haley, Tristin and Ethan all of Warsaw, Indiana and one sister: Treva Hoffer of Palmetto, Florida. Lucy was also preceded by three sisters and three brothers.
Don Locke will officiate the funeral services.

Services will be held at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel – Warsaw on Friday, May 1, 2009 at 11:00 AM. Calling hours will be 4:00 to 8:00 PM on Thursday, April 30, 2009. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery – Warsaw, Indiana.
