Mary Lois Swain

Mary Lois Swain, age 91, of Warsaw, Indiana passed away Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at 3:00 AM in Miller’s Merry Manor of Warsaw. She was born July 24, 1921 in Fort Wayne, Indiana to Jacob Milton and Blanche (Winebrenner) Roush.

On December 28, 1941 she was united in marriage to Joseph Charles Swain in Pierceton, IN who preceded her in death on January 16, 1996. She was retired from L.M. Berry and Company of Warsaw. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the Monday Evening Circle of Warsaw, and the Order of the Eastern Star #56 of Pierceton, IN where she was a Past Matron.

Survivors include daughters Joan Beth Maze of Indianapolis, IN and Christine (spouse Ron) Jonas of Fort Wayne, IN; grandchildren Jody (spouse Jenn) Maze, Jeffrey (spouse Jenny) Maze, Jaime Becker, Douglas (spouse Michelle) Becker, Shelly (spouse Brad) Rumbaugh, Matt Jonas and Stephany Chivers; niece Rose Ann Clair; nephews Mike Makemson and Allan Haven and several great grandchildren. In addition to her husband Joseph, 2 great grandchildren Joseph Douglas Becker and Gavin Joseph Maze, one sister, one brother-in-law and two half-brothers preceded her in death.

Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, June 15, 2013 at 11:00 AM in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw with Pastor Scott Carmer officiating. Visitation will be Friday June 14, 2013 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM in the Funeral Chapel. Interment will be at a later date in Greenlawn Cemetery Fort Wayne, IN.
