Milton George Salomon, 82 of Warsaw, Indiana passed away at 7:51 am, Thursday, February 23, 2012 in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw.
On February 21, 1930, Milton was born to Erwin and Frida (Huonker) Salomon in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. On June 5, 1954, he married Pauline J. Schneider.
Milton served in the U.S. Army for four years in Japan from 1948 – 1952. He served two years along with his wife as a short term missionary in Kinshasa Zaire with Mission Aviation Fellowship. He was co-owner of S.O.S. Electronics Inc. Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where he was also an adult sunday school teacher and chairman of Christian Business Mens Committee.
Since moving to Indiana in 2001, Milton and his wife have attended the Pleasant View Bible Church, Warsaw.
He is survived by his wife of over 57 years, Pauline J. Salomon, Warsaw; six children, Jeanne Commer, Wichita, Kansas, Joe Salomon, Jenks, Oklahoma, Linda Ropp, Orlando, Florida, Jon Salomon, Stewartstown, Pennsylvania, Karen Hueni, Bremen, and Julie Thompson, Winona Lake; fourteen grandchildren, Rachel, Jennifer, Michael, Kyle, Chris, Casey, Ben, Emily, Kaley, Hannah, Nicole, Caitlin, Courtney and Ethan; two sisters, Elsie Collum and Sandra Salomon and two brothers, James Salomon and Ronald Salomon.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, February 25, 2012 at Pleasant View Bible Church, Warsaw with Pastor Michael Hontz officiating. Private burial was held at Marion National Cemetery, Marion, Indiana.
