Roger Fellows

Roger D. Fellows, age 75, of Warsaw, Indiana passed away Thursday October 18, 2012 at 12:54 AM in his residence. He was born March 3, 1937 in Warsaw, IN to Dayton and Ruth (Hildenbrand) Fellows.

He was a lifetime Kosciusko County, IN resident and was a 1955 Warsaw High School Graduate. He faithfully served his country in the United States Army from 1960 to 1962 as a Specialist (E 4) as a Military Policeman with the 524th MP Company and was stationed in Honolulu, HI. On October 28, 1967, in Warsaw, he was united in marriage to Lynne Prewitt. Roger served the citizens of Kosciusko County from June 1, 1963 to September 8, 1997 with the Kosciusko County SheriffÂ’s Department. During his career he served as Chief Deputy from 1965 to 1973 under then Sheriff Dave Andrews and from 1981 to 1997 he served as Lieutenant / Jail Commander. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church Warsaw, the Kosciusko County Fraternal Order of Police, a lifetime National Rifle Association member and the American Single Shot Rifle Association.

He survived by his wife Lynne Fellows of Warsaw, IN, daughter Amanda Fellows of Indianapolis, IN, son Don (spouse Christy) Fellows of Omaha, NB and grandchildren Evelyn, Ava and Sophia.

Funeral services are scheduled for Monday October 22, 2012 at 10:00 AM in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel Warsaw, IN. Visitation will be Sunday October 21 from 1:00 to 5:00 PM. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery Warsaw, IN with Military Honors provided by the Warsaw, American Legion Post #49, the Warsaw V.F.W. Post #1126 and the Indiana Army Reserve National Guard. Pastor Dave Hummel will officiate the service.
