Obituary for Rose Ellen Rife

Rose Ellen Rife, age 86, of Warsaw, Indiana passed away on July 11, 2019 at 10:25 PM in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw. She was born on March 29, 1933 in West Branch, MI to Morley and Rosa (Cooley) McClung.

She lived most of her life in the Kosciusko County area. On September 7, 1958 she was united in marriage to George Rife in Warsaw. During her life she worked at Free Methodist Publishing House and later worked for and retired from Rhodehever Word Publishing. She was a charter member of Celebration United Methodist Church, Warsaw. During her life Rose leased and operated Shady Book Stables with her husband where individuals could board horses and they also offered equine therapy riding for the handicap. Rose was an avid quilter, enjoyed going to hockey games and thoroughly enjoyed roller skating; especially back in the day at The Wheel in Winona Lake where she met her husband.

She is survived by her children; Rex (spouse Rhonda) Rife of Pierceton, Rose Marie (spouse James) Bradley of Warsaw, Sisters; Virginia Breske of Warsaw, Marilyn Susaraba of Florida, Eileen Tucker of Warsaw, Janet Ihnen of Warsaw, 9 Grandchildren and 18 Great-Grandchildren also survive. She was preceded in death by her husband; George Rife, son; Gregary Stephan Rife, and a great-granddaughter.

A Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 16, 2019 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, July 17, 2019 at 10:00 AM in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. Chaplain Ken Locke will officiate the service and interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
