Terry L. "Pap" Paxton

Terry L. “Pap” Paxton, 72 of Warsaw, Indiana passed away at 6:49 pm on Sunday, March 23, 2014 in Lutheran Hospital of Indiana, Fort Wayne.

On September 7, 1941, he was born in Carlisle, Pennsylvania to Ralph and Viola (Myers) Paxton. He was united in marriage to Martha Bender on June 27, 1964 in Newville, Pennsylvania, whom survives.

Terry moved to Kosciusko County in 1995. He worked at Wabash Valley Mfg., Silver Lake, where he retired in 2002. He then worked part time for Richard’s Restaurant, Warsaw. He was a member of Warsaw Wesleyan Church. He enjoyed spending a lot of time with his family and grandchildren, who he loved to, entertain by playing his guitar.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Martha Paxton, Warsaw; his daughter, Christine A. (and spouse Dennis) Hench, Warsaw; his son, Thomas (and spouse Melissa A.) Paxton, New Bloomfield, Pennsylvania; his brother, Robert Paxton, Carlisle, Pennsylvania; three sisters, Shirley Edgecomb, Shippensburg, Pennsylvania, Loretta Paxton, Carlisle, Pennsylvania and Linda Greenewalt, Carlisle, Pennsylvania; eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Terry was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter, Linda Sue Sanchez and four brothers and sisters.

A memorial service will be at 12:00 noon, Saturday, March 29, 2014 at Warsaw Wesleyan Church, Warsaw with Pastor Andy Weaver and Pastor Anthony Cottrell officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.

Visitation hours will be from 10:00 am – 12:00 noon, Saturday, March 29, 2014 at the church.
