Virginia was born to John and Judy (Poe) Slone in Floyd County, Kentucky. On September 14, 1946 she married Chris Allen in Pikeville, Kentucky. He preceded her in death on August 24, 1959. She loved time with family and friends, attending church when she was able, always giving or trying to help someone and also sewing quilts before her sickness. She was grandma to so many she met and a blessing to many she came in contact with along the way. She got the nickname High Kicker in exercises at Mason's. She loved those at Mason's and they became like family to her. She would refer to them as “my friends”. Mason's became a safe haven for her as she would tell everyone “That is my home and they're good to me.” She was also thankful for the care she received from Hospice. Thank you to all. God bless each and everyone of you for the care you gave our mother in the past trying years of her life. Thank you and God Bless Judy, Chris, Henry, Johnny, Harvey and Bucky.
